Durascan D600 can be easily paired with an iOS, Android, or Windows device. By factory default, it's in HID Keyboard Emulation mode, so it's ready to read a Tag, with no application required. NFC Tag data will be read into the active cursor position on your device (just like a keyboard). If the NFC Tag contains NDEF records in user memory (i.e. a URL), this will be read. Otherwise, the UID will be read.
Also, Android and iOS apps are available to offer more features, including NFC Tags programming. A non-free SDK is available on Socket Mobile Developer Portal for App development (currently iOS only, though Windows and Android are planned).
